Alec Ferris
Alec Ferris is a North Carolina–based nature photographer originally from the East End of Long Island. Growing up surrounded by coastal landscapes, wetlands, and diverse wildlife shaped both his artistic perspective and his lifelong passion for photography. Today, his work continues to reflect a deep appreciation for the natural world and the quiet beauty found within it.
Working with a Nikon mirrorless system, Alec combines technical precision with a strong eye for light, composition, and atmosphere. Whether photographing wildlife in its natural habitat or capturing the character of a landscape, his images are driven by patience, timing, and a genuine connection to the environment. For Alec, photography is more than documenting a scene—it is an ongoing pursuit of meaningful moments in nature. Through his work, he hopes to encourage viewers to slow down, look closer, and experience the outdoors with a renewed sense of wonder.
