Van Bunch

​I was drawing before I could write my name.  I would draw on anything that didn't move and that got me into a lot of trouble. It seemed my hand was on “automatic.” I began to keep my art to myself and told no one. I have no formal art training but only self-taught. I acknowledge my ability to draw and and paint as a artist about 15 years ago. It took another 5 years to actually say, “I am an artist.” If asked if I could draw or paint I denied it and showed no one my art, except my wife and children. I really believed I had no talent in art. My favorite artist are Bob Timberlake, Norman Rockwell, Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth. I enjoy painting with watercolor mostly but also use oil, pencil, charcoal, pen and ink. I enjoy photography and digital art also. I also enjoy doing Pyrography.
