Dick Lasher
(1935 - 2024)
The members of Riverwalk Gallery mourn the recent passing of our
long-time friend and fellow artist Dick Lasher.
His woodworking art has brought joy to so many people in our community.
Riverwalk Gallery will continue to market Dick's artwork for his family.
Dick was a retired engineer after nearly 40 years working on spacecraft and missile systems. He began wood working in junior high school shop classes and continued throughout his professional career making furniture, fixtures and toys for family and friends.
Woodworking become a major vocation in his retirement. He built custom furniture, jewelry boxes, wooden toys and wooden pens using both domestic and imported wood species. The jewelry boxes he made were his original designs and often fashioned by an interesting piece of wood.
